The Story Behind the Invention

Cargo Clamp was born out of real-world problem solving. Inventor Brian S. Condie of Aurora, Colorado set out to build high-performance ramps for his RC cars—ramps sturdy enough to handle 20-pound vehicles flying at nearly 80 mph. After perfecting a design that assembled and disassembled in under a minute and packed neatly into a three-foot duffle bag, Brian hit one major challenge:How do you lock and unlock ramp pieces securely—without drilling holes or using bulky hardware?He searched everywhere for a clamp that was strong, low-profile, versatile, and easy to attach and detach. Nothing existed. So, like any true builder and innovator, he created one.Using CAD software, Brian engineered the exact clamp he wished someone sold. What started as a tool for a single problem quickly proved to be useful for hundreds of others. Over time, the design evolved, strengthened, and was refined into what is now the Cargo Clamp—a universal, ultra-durable clamp system built to secure gear, tools, and equipment in almost any environment.
